"Leave it in the Pool" Hour of Power for Sarcoma | Bentley University |Waltham MA
This past Tuesday, the Bentley Swim & Dive team was one of the 124 collegiate, high school, and club teams to participate in the fifth annual Ted Mullin's Hour of Power for Pediatric Sarcoma Research. The "Hour of Power" is a one hour long, "leave-it-in-the-pool" workout consisting of continous relays using every stroke. The "Hour of Power" honors those who are fighting or have succumbed to cancer. All teams start the relay at the same time, 4 o'clock, using thier respective time zones. Ted Mullin was a swimmer from Carleton College who passed away in the fall of 2006 from synovial sarcoma. The Hour of Power is held every year in his memory to raise awareness of this rare cancer and generate funds for researching treatments out of the University of Chicago. It is an unbelievable event and it is growing larger every year, to learn more click here.
